NRA launches $5 million Clinton attack ad

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is launching a $5 million television ad campaign attacking Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for her stance on gun control.

{mosads}The gun lobby’s ad, which will air nationally, claims Clinton could revoke people’s right to keep firearms in their own homes. The Supreme Court has previously defended this right, but the NRA says Clinton could appoint justices who would overturn this Second Amendment protection.

The ad shows a woman being awakened by the sound of someone breaking into her home.

“She’ll call 911,” the narrator says, as the woman starts to dial the phone. “Average response time: 11 minutes. Too late.”

The woman quickly opens a gun safe on her dresser, but then the safe vanishes.

“She keeps a firearm in the safe for protection,” the narrator continues. “But Hillary Clinton could take away her right to self-defense. And with Supreme Court justices, Hillary can.

“Don’t let Hillary leave you protected with nothing but a phone.”

The NRA has endorsed Clinton’s opponent, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Including the latest TV spot, the NRA has spent $15 million during the presidential election cycle.
