Trump is the clear choice

Greg Nash

Elections are all about choices. This presidential election is a choice between a successful businessman or a Washington insider who has been involved in government for her entire life.

For me, that choice is clear. Donald Trump was chosen to be the Republican nominee by a majority of Republican voters. Trump is tapping into an energy and an enthusiasm which engages new people in the democratic process. He understands that, for too long, the average American hasn’t had a voice and feels left behind.

{mosads}From the many conversations I’ve had with small business owners, retirees, and rank-and-file union members, I can tell you that without a doubt, they want Donald Trump to shake up the Washington establishment.

Trump is a disruptive force that will change the status quo in order to create real, lasting and positive change in Washington. A change that voters are calling for, a change I have been working tirelessly to achieve.

Trump will join us in putting the American people first instead of Washington elites. This unity appeals to all Americans because it will benefit all of our families.

Hillary Clinton, however, will continue President Obama’s policies which have unfairly divided our nation. We have an unstable national security position, a jobless recovery, and a healthcare system that is too expensive to manage.

Clinton’s economic agenda also continues Obama’s harmful actions: high taxation, heavy regulations, and more of Washington deciding who wins and who loses. Clinton has clearly closed herself off to the American people. She is focused solely on pleasing her donors and the Washington elitist establishment.

The American people deserve better. They want someone who listens. This is one of the reasons why I am constantly holding townhall meetings to talk with families—we’ve held more than 200 to date. Accessibility is important to me and it is clearly important to Donald Trump who is listening to people as he travels to red states and blue states alike.

Donald Trump is taking what he is hearing and working to create what people from Maine to California and Florida to Alaska are all asking for—jobs. His economic vision will create substantive change for our nation. These changes will restore American manufacturing and create opportunity for all Americans.

In these hyper-partisan times, I was proud to sponsor, draft, and pass RAMI—the Revitalize American Manufacturing and Innovations Act—which encourages innovation in manufacturing and it is already creating jobs for our families. But we need to do more.

With Trump in the White House, we will see an acceleration of this type of job-creating legislation. We will create jobs for our kids, our grandkids, and future generations.

Donald Trump is trying to create a business friendly environment in which jobs are not only created, but sustained for generations. We will work together on tax reform, regulatory reform, and we will keep the government out of the way so that real, family sustaining jobs can be created.

I believe America’s best days are ahead, but only if we truly change Washington.

Trump will create that change. Don’t take my word for it—take the people’s word for it. He is bringing people into the electorate who have been excluded for years. He will help congressional races around the country as these new voters call for the change and disruption he embodies.

The people’s voice will be restored. That is a good thing for all of us.
