Giuliani: I’m ‘very disappointed’ in Comey

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday morning blasted FBI Director James Comey for not recommending criminal charges against Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server while secretary of State.

{mosads}“As associate attorney and as Jim Comey’s boss for two or three years, I was very disappointed in him,” Giuliani said on “Fox and Friends.”

“I think if you read it, it’s logically inconsistent. He contradicts himself at least three times.”

Giuliani, a supporter of Donald Trump, was an associate attorney general under President Ronald Reagan and a prosecutor in New York for six years.

Giuliani also seized on the revelations to blast Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, in the Fox interview.

“How can we have a president who — in the words of Jim Comey, who let her off — was extremely careless in the handling of thousands and thousands and thousands of some of our most sensitive documents? How can we have a president like that?”

And in an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the former New York mayor said that he “profoundly” disagrees with Comey’s decision not to recommend criminal charges against Clinton.

“This, to me, is a fairly easy case,” he said, calling it a “no-brainer” and referring to the deleted emails as a “smoking gun.”
