Clinton takes Maryland primary
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is projected to win the Maryland primary.
The outcome had not been in doubt, with Clinton leading by double digits in polls ahead of the contest.
{mosads}The state awards 95 pledged delegates proportionally, helping Clinton pad her lead over rival Bernie Sanders.
Clinton entered the day with 1,428 pledged delegates, to Sanders’s 1,153, according to The Associated Press.
Voters are also casting ballots in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Delaware on Tuesday. Clinton is favored to take a majority of the delegates up for grabs.
