Over 70 percent of New York Republican voters say the candidate who gets the most votes in the primaries should get the party’s nomination, according to preliminary exit polls from ABC News.

{mosads}Meanwhile, a quarter say they would support a contested convention, and an equal amount say they would definitely not support Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump in November if he wins the party nomination.

More than half of GOP voters said they would definitely support Trump in a general election, while less than a quarter said the same about Ted Cruz. Only two in 10 would definitely support John Kasich in November.

The majority of Republicans also expressed concern that the race could be harmful to the party. Fifty-seven percent of voters polled in NBC News’s exit poll said the race has divided the party, while 39 percent said they believe the race has energized it.

The results of the poll may change as more New York voters leave their polling places. Polls close at 9 p.m. in the state.
