Hillary Clinton holds a slim lead over Donald Trump in their presidential race in Missouri based on a new poll published Friday, according to The Kansas City Star.

Clinton leads Trump 42 to 40 percent in the DFM Research of Minnesota poll conducted on behalf of the United Transportation Union. The lead is within the poll’s 3.8 percent margin of error.

Hillary Clinton edged out a victory in the Democratic primary March 15, taking 49.6 percent of the vote to Bernie Sanders’s 49.4 percent. Trump also won narrowly, besting GOP rival Ted Cruz 40.9 to 40.7 percent.

The survey also finds incumbent Sen. Roy Blunt (R) leading Democratic Secretary of State Jason Kander (D) 49 to 35 percent. But adding to Republican worries, 40 percent of those surveyed had never heard of Blunt’s Democratic challenger.

A separate poll from Remington Research for Missouri Scout had Blunt leading Kander 44 percent to 37 percent, according to the Star.

The pollsters did not share their sample size or if the respondents were registered voters.
