Man charged for punch at Trump rally: ‘We don’t know if he’s ISIS’

The 78-year-old man who has been charged with punching a protester in the face at a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina says he has no regrets.

“You bet I liked it,” John McGraw told “Inside Edition” when he was asked if he enjoyed the rally. “Clocking the hell out of that big mouth.”

{mosads}McGraw was asked why he punched the protester during the event Wednesday. 

“Well, number one, we don’t know if he’s ISIS,” he said. “We don’t know who he is, but we know he’s not acting like an American and cussing me … and sticking his face in my head. If he wants it laid out, I laid it out.”

“Yes, he deserved it. The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization,” McGraw added.

Rakeem Jones, 26, was being escorted out of the Trump event when he was punched in the face. The moment was caught on video and has been shown repeatedly on cable news.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday said McGraw has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

Jones said in an interview on MSNBC that he hopes McGraw ends up in prison.

His friend, Ronnie Rouse, who was also at the rally, said it was “disturbing” that the man who allegedly punched Jones “went home that night.”
