Haley shoots ad for Rubio
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley touted Marco Rubio as the future of the Republican Party in a new ad released one day after she endorsed his presidential bid.
The 30-second spot, titled “Future,” highlights Rubio’s credentials to be commander in chief, arguing he is a candidate who can “bring a conscience” to Washington Republicans.
{mosads}“As the wife of a combat veteran, I know Marco will keep America safe,” Haley said in the ad.
“As your governor, I trust Marco to bring a conscience to Republicans in Washington, and rein in our out of control government,” she continued.
The ad was first reported by The Washington Examiner.
Haley’s endorsement is a huge boost for Rubio coming days before the South Carolina primary. Recent polls have shown Rubio in a tight battle with Ted Cruz for second place.
GOP front-runner Donald Trump holds a double-digit lead over the field in most polls.
