{mosads}A CBS spokesperson confirmed to The Hill that Trump’s phone call would be the first time a guest phoned into the show, which began airing in 1993 with David Letterman as host.
Trump’s phone call was not initially announced in the Tuesday night line-up, which includes actress Eva Longoria, and “Broad City” creators Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer.
The outspoken celebrity businessman regularly calls into multiple networks for morning interviews, while his rivals appear on camera and sometimes in person for their interviews.
Trump is holding a rally in South Carolina on Tuesday evening as he battles several GOP rivals ahead of the Saturday primary in that state.
