Trump cancels event in New Hampshire due to snow

Donald Trump has canceled a New Hampshire town hall amid threats of a snowstorm there.

The Republican presidential candidate called off the event in Londonderry early Friday morning, according to CNN.

{mosads}His campaign told the news outlet it was no longer having the event “due to the weather and the airports being closed.”

Trump plans to campaign in the Granite State “on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday,” the campaign added. The state’s presidential primary, which is now considered a must-win for Trump, will be held Tuesday.

CNN reported that Trump keeps his private airplane with Sheltair, a fixed-base operator (FBO) located at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.

Trump arrived back in New York after 1 a.m. Friday morning rather than staying overnight after a rally in New Hampshire the night before. The rest of his team ended up stranded between LaGuardia and the FBO in Manchester, N.H., CNN reported.

The billionaire businessman is seeking a victory in New Hampshire after taking second in Iowa’s caucuses. 

He has the polls on his side. Trump boasts a 17-point lead before next Tuesday’s contest, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.

But Trump faces stiff competition from GOP rivals who have invested heavily in the state, including Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie and John Kasich.

Trump has a rally planned for 7 p.m. Friday evening in Florence, S.C. He leads the Republican race in the Palmetto State by over 16 percent, per the latest RealClearPolitics index of surveys.

South Carolina is the next state in the Republican primary process after New Hampshire.
