Trump to offer Iowans free ’13 Hours’ screening
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has rented space at a movie theater in Urbandale, Iowa, on Friday to screen the new Benghazi movie from director Michael Bay.
{mosads}The Des Moines Register reports that Trump will give voters in the Hawkeye State free tickets to “13 Hours,” which many critics of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been eager to see.
The film about the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, opens nationwide on Friday.
Its release puts a focus on Democratic presidential candidate Clinton, who has defended her handling of the attack despite years of criticism.
Some right-leaning groups are hosting screenings of the film, trailers for which have played during commercial breaks at the past several GOP debates, including on Thursday night.
Trump has repeatedly blasted Clinton over her handling of the attack, including releasing a video in November showing her laughing superimposed over images of flames from the attack.
