Munich police warn of ‘imminent’ terror attack
Police in Munich warned late Thursday of a possible imminent terror attack and urged people to avoid crowds and train stations.
A spokeswoman told ABC News that officials received hints of a possible bomb attack. The Associated Press said police called it an “imminent threat.”
Police issued a warning in a tweet shortly before midnight in the German city, as residents looked to ring in the new year.
They said in another tweet that two train stations had been evacuated.

A State Department spokesman said Wednesday that the U.S. has no known, credible threats involving the homeland for the new year, despite arrests in places like Turkey and Brussels.
Brussels cancelled planned New Year’s Eve festivities over terror fears.
