{mosads}Debate is scheduled on Alissa Starzak’s nomination to be the Army’s general counsel at 5 p.m., with a vote expected at 5:30 p.m.
The chamber is also expected to take up John Conger’s nomination to be a principal deputy undersecretary of Defense, Stephen Welby’s nomination to be an assistant secretary of Defense, and Franklin Parker’s nomination to be assistant secretary of the Navy.
While Democrats have repeatedly criticized Republicans for the pace of votes on nominees since the start of the year, a vote on a judicial nomination has already been scheduled for when lawmakers return from an upcoming recess in January.
The House isn’t in session on Monday, though lawmakers are continuing negotiations on a spending bill ahead of Wednesday’s deadline to avoid a government shutdown.
