Sean Penn calls for action on forest preservation

Sean Penn on Saturday called on world leaders at the United Nations COP21 climate talks in Paris to tackle the issue of deforestation, according to the Associated Press.
 
{mosads}Penn said the action to curb climate change makes today “the most exciting time in human history because … we have clarity, and the days of dreams have given way to the days of doing.”
 
The Academy Award-winning actor, who is the founder of the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, proposed a 10-year plan to make Haiti “a model of reforestation.”
 
He told climate delegations that “with your help, here come the trees.”
 
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio and director Robert Redford addressed the climate talks Friday, and former California governor and “Terminator” star Arnold Schwarzenegger is scheduled to attend early next week.
 
World leaders agreed on a tentative deal to reduce global carbon emissions at the talks Saturday.
