Hagan won’t challenge Burr for Senate seat: report
Former Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) will not try to rejoin the Senate in 2016, Roll Call is reporting.
Hagan, who defeated incumbent Sen. Elizabeth Dole in 2008, lost a reelection bid last year to Sen. Thom Tillis.
{mosads}Democrats had hoped to lure Hagan to challenge Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.).
Hagan had called donors to inform them she would not seek Burr’s seat, according to the report.
