House panel to hold hearing about Iran negotiations

The House Foreign Affairs Committee will convene a hearing next Tuesday on the status of the Iran nuclear negotiations. 

The hearing will come two weeks before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks to a joint session of Congress on Feb. 11. Experts from the Center for Strategic and Assessments, Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Council on Foreign Relations and the Brookings Institution are slated to testify.

{mosads}”This hearing and other committee hearings soon to be held will review the administration’s negotiating approach and the challenges of reaching an effective agreement with Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism destabilizing countries throughout its region,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) said in a statement.

Separately, Royce’s panel will hold a hearing later Tuesday about the recent terror attacks in Paris.
