Relationship Between Cuba and Iran Poses Threat to U.S. Interests (Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen)
Since the summer of 2001, when Castro joined Iran’s Ayatollah to proclaim that ‘together, Iran and Cuba would bring America to its knees,’ we have witnessed increased collaboration between these two state-sponsors of terrorism. This relationship poses a unique threat to the interests of the United States by increasing the ability of both rogue nations to expand their operations deep into our Hemisphere. It is critical for us to be fully informed about their dangerous ambitions in order to develop policies to counter this threat.
