Wednesday: Immigration, Dodd-Frank
The House will consider funding for the Department of Homeland Security and a bill making changes to the Dodd-Frank law on Wednesday.
The Senate will not be in session on Wednesday to accommodate the Democratic and Republican retreats.
{mosads}House members completed two hours of general debate on the DHS spending bill Tuesday night. An hour’s worth of debate on five amendments still remains. Those amendments include defunding President Obama’s November executive action on immigration and another to roll back a separate 2012 order to delay deportations of immigrants who arrived to the U.S. as children.
The House will also vote on a 11-bill package to amend the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial overhaul. It failed to pass under suspension of the rules last week. Members debated the bill Tuesday night.
Last votes are expected by noon.
