Comedians spoof ‘shrewd’ TSA

Comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele parodied the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on their sketch comedy show, “Key & Peele,” which airs on Comedy Central, on Thursday. 

The duo posed as terrorists meeting to complain about the efficacy of the controversial agency’s airport security rules. 

“Why have we not taken in a plane in 13 years,” one of the characters in the sketch says to another. 

{mosads}“It is all because the cunning and mighty TSA is always one step ahead of us. Last month I attempted to take down a plane with a pair of scissors five inches long. This shrewd TSA, they made restriction so you could only take a four inch blade,” another purported terrorist responds. 

The original terrorist character in the sketch responds incredulously, “How could they know that a five-inch is deadly weapon, and a four-inch blade is no more than a child’s plaything?” 

The comedians, who famously spoof President Obama, also took aim at the TSA’s rules regarding airline passengers carrying liquids in their carry-on luggage. 

“We all know how much damage we could wreak with 3.5 ounces of liquid,” a terrorist character says in the sketch. “The crafty TSA, they have limited passengers to only 3.4 ounces of liquid.”
