Bush: Jeb would beat ‘sister-in-law’ Hillary

Former President George W. Bush accepts Hillary Clinton would be a tough presidential contender but says his brother Jeb would beat her in a match-up.

In an interview with CNN posted Friday, Bush agreed with host Candy Crowley’s description of the former secretary of State as “formidable.”

{mosads}“Very much so, no question, so is he though,” Bush replied, referring to former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.).

Asked if his brother could run against Clinton, Bush said, “Yeah, and I think he’d beat her.”

George W. Bush also has a well-known friendship with former President Bill Clinton, whom he’s referred to as his “brother from another mother.”

Asked what that makes the former secretary of State, Bush joked, “My sister-in-law.”

The former president said of Bill Clinton last month, “I’ll still like him when Jeb beats Hillary.”

Jeb Bush has been weighing a presidential run and said this week that he will make a decision “in short order.” His brother has been encouraging him to run.

Jeb Bush has already taken a shot at Hillary Clinton, calling out her comment that businesses don’t create jobs as “breathtaking.” Clinton later corrected the comment to say she was referring to tax cuts for businesses.
