Landrieu will see Monday Night Football action

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) will be on the field at the Superdome ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens.

Landrieu, who is the co-chair of a foster care coalition, will participate in a pre-game National Adoption Month presentation. The nationally televised Saints home game could give her a boost ahead of her Dec. 6 Senate runoff against Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.).

Landrieu trails badly in the polls, and Cassidy has had success turning out big names in the Republican Party for rallies in Louisiana as of late. But with the Keystone XL pipeline push behind her, Landrieu has returned her focus to energizing the Democratic base in her home state.

In addition to her Monday Night Football appearance, Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) will campaign on her behalf on Monday. Over the weekend, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), and her brother, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D), turned out at campaign events on her behalf.
