Aid to Industry Must be With Strings Attached (Rep. Henry Waxman)
I think there’s a lot of sentiment that, before we leave for the year, we have to do something to make sure that the automotive industry does not go bankrupt. I think that has to be with a lot of strings attached — we don’t want to give billions of dollars now and then find we have to continue to give them billions of dollars, because that is not a viable effort.
