Senate passes bill offering $10M for info on ISIS killings

The Senate passed a bill that would offer $10 million for information on the kidnapping of two American journalists who were beheaded by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

{mosads}Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) introduced S. 2778, which requires the secretary of State to offer a $10 million reward for information on the kidnapping and murder of James Foley and Steven Sotloff. The bill heads to the House for further action.

The Senate also passed a conditional adjournment resolution, S.Con.Res. 44. If the House passes the measure on Friday, neither chamber will have to hold pro forma sessions while lawmakers are away for more than 50 days.

Congress will be adjourned until after the November elections.

Both sides of the aisle cleared several housekeeping measures, which were passed through unanimous consent agreements. A list of all the bills passed follows:
