Senate Dem: O-Care is working

Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) said ObamaCare is working, especially for seniors.

“The Affordable Care Act is working,” Cardin said on Tuesday. “We want to do all we can to help seniors age in place in comfort and dignity.”

{mosads}Cardin said the Affordable Care Act — also known as ObamaCare — has incentivized coordinated care, discharge planning and transitional care to avoid hospital readmissions.

“It has already extended the life of the Medicare Hospital Trust Fund by 13 years, and it is encouraging integration between acute and post-acute care settings,” Cardin said.

Some Republicans are still using ObamaCare as a punching bag ahead of November’s midterm elections.
