Senate confirms three ambassadors
The Senate voted to confirm three U.S. ambassadors on Tuesday.
{mosads}Larry Andrea was confirmed to be U.S. ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The Senate confirmed Michael Hoza to be U.S. ambassador to Cameroon.
And Joan Polaschik was confirmed to be U.S. ambassador to Algeria.
All three were confirmed by voice-vote.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has criticized Republicans for delaying the confirmation of nearly 30 ambassadorships, saying it risks U.S. national security.
