Pink-haired cancer survivor criticizes Sen. Walsh in new ad

Rep. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) uses a pink-haired cancer survivor to hit Sen. John Walsh (D-Mont.) on ObamaCare, Medicare and Social Security in his newest ad, the latest in a back-and-forth over entitlement programs.

{mosads}”I’m a breast cancer survivor. That’s why I dyed my hair pink,” Billings resident Pat Lawrence says in the ad. “I really depend on Medicare. When I heard that John Walsh said ObamaCare wouldn’t hurt seniors, I couldn’t believe it. ObamaCare cuts billions of dollars from Medicare, putting my care at risk. Walsh also believes that privatizing Social Security should be on the table. That’s just too risky.”

The ad is set to start airing this evening across Montana.

Daines has led by double digits in most polls, and is looking to undercut Walsh’s attacks on government programs. The new ad comes on the same day as a Walsh spot, first shared with The Hill, attacking Daines on his Medicare positions.

Both have been heavily featuring women in their advertising.
