Fox News paid Scott Brown $136,000

New Hampshire Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown earned more than $136,000 from Fox News over the past two years, according to the personal financial disclosure forms he released Friday.

The PFDs show Brown earned $108,173 from the network last year and another $28,000 this year, before stepping down from his commentator position earlier this year to run for Senate in New Hampshire.

{mosads}The disclosure followed weeks of criticism from Democrats and Brown’s GOP primary opponents over his decision to delay filing his PFDs until August, a month before the GOP primary.

It also sheds light on his business dealings after his term as senator of Massachusetts ended in 2013, which drew scrutiny due to reports outlining his role as an advisor to an obscure business with unclear aims.

Brown made $186,000 for giving 20 speeches since he left office, charging fees ranging from $20,000 to less than $1,000.

He is also releasing eight years of tax returns filed by him and his wife, including two years not previously released during his 2012 reelection campaign. 

His campaign said Brown and his wife’s income declined from $603,000 in 2012 to $474,000 2013, and that his effective tax rate was 24 percent last year.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s campaign, the Democratic incumbent in New Hampshire, has said they will release her returns shortly.
