Bill Clinton most-admired recent president

Former President Bill Clinton is by far the most-admired president of the last 25 years, according to a Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday.

Forty-two percent of respondents picked Clinton when asked which recent president they most admire — double the rating of any leader, including President Obama.

{mosads}Obama came in a distant second with 18 percent.

George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush scored 17 percent and 16 percent, respectively.

A CNN poll released last week found Obama’s favorability rating at 51 percent, the same as George W. Bush’s rating six years after he left office.

The Wall Street Journal poll surveyed 1,238 people from June 2-8 and has a margin or error of plus or minus 2.8 percent.
