Lofgren staffer joins tech industry group
Rep. Zoe Lofgren’s (D-Calif.) Communications Director is joining the Information Technology Industry Council, the tech trade group announced Tuesday.
{mosads}Duncan Neasham — who worked for the House Small Business Committee before joining Lofgren’s office three years ago — will start at the ITI next week, overseeing its “media strategy and messaging through its traditional and multi-media platforms,” the group said.
ITI represents giants in the tech industry, including Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Yahoo Qualcomm and Oracle.
Lofgren — who represents part of Silicon Valley and is a member of the House Judiciary Committee — works on issues critical to the tech industry, including surveillance reform and copyright and hacking laws.
“With his knowledge of tech sector issues, his experience on the Hill, and his media and messaging expertise, Duncan will be a great asset to ITI’s member companies,” the group’s Vice President for External Affairs Adora Jenkins said in a statement.
