NY lawmaker’s campaign manager quits
Rep. Michael Grimm’s (R-N.Y.) campaign manager has resigned following Grimm’s indictment on multiple charges, reports the New York Daily News.
{mosads}Bill Cortese reportedly quit because Grimm hasn’t been paying him. Donors haven’t been giving to Grimm since his indictment.
The Staten Island congressman is under indictment for charges that he evaded taxes and employed illegal immigrants as owner of a Manhattan restaurant.
Grimm has been cut off by the national party and faces an uphill race to retain his seat.
