Club for Growth endorses pair of Ga. House candidates
The fiscally conservative Club for Growth is throwing its support to two Georgia House candidates who made it to their primary runoffs.
{mosads}The organization has endorsed Georgia state Sen. Barry Loudermilk (R), who’s facing off against libertarian-leaning former Rep. Bob Barr (R-Ga.) for Rep. Phil Gingrey’s (R-Ga.) seat, and Dr. Bob Johnson (R), who’s in the runoff for Rep. Jack Kingston’s (R-Ga.) seat.
The Republican do made it to the runoffs on Tuesday. Loudermilk pulled 37 percent of the vote to Barr’s 26 percent, while Johnson trailed Georgia state Rep. Buddy Carter (R) by 36 percent to 23 percent in the first round of voting.
