Obama talks climate change in Showtime documentary
President Obama will discuss climate change in an upcoming Showtime documentary series produced by James Cameron.
Mashable reports the segment with Obama will offer an exclusive understanding of the president’s thoughts on climate science and policy.
{mosads}Showtime taped the interview last week, individuals close to the documentary “Years of Living Dangerously” said. The series premieres April 13.
This will be the first interview Obama has given solely on climate change since announcing his administration’s climate agenda last year.
Cameron’s documentary focuses on the scientific aspects of multiple climate change threats. The project, funded in part by Cameron’s Avatar Alliance Foundation, was filmed in a wide array of places like the Greenland ice sheet, China, and forests in the American West.
The White House didn’t respond to a request for comment.
