Bush to show off his paintings at exhibit

Former President George W. Bush will showcase more than two dozen portraits he painted at an art exhibit in April.

The George W. Bush Presidential Library will hold an exhibit that explores Bush’s relationship with world leaders titled, “The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy.”

{mosads}Along with Bush’s paintings, the exhibit will feature photographs, artifacts and personal reflections by the president.

“The [exhibit] will educate and inform visitors about the important role leadership plays in global diplomacy, and will provide an insider’s view into President Bush’s unique relationships with other world leaders,” according to a new release from the library.

The former president’s art hobby was revealed in 2013 when a hacker posted a number of self-portraits Bush had painted of himself in the shower. Since then, Bush has talked openly about his art hobby, even presenting former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno with a portrait when he went on the show last year.

In previous interviews, he has said he paints two to three hours a day.

During the holidays in 2013, the Bush library sold Christmas ornaments with a reproduced image of a cardinal he had painted.
