Michelle Obama among first guests on Fallon’s ‘Tonight Show’

First lady Michelle Obama will appear on the inaugural week of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” joining comedian Will Ferrell and musical guest Arcade Fire on Thursday, Feb. 20.

{mosads}The first lady appeared twice on Fallon’s iteration of “Late Night,” memorably joining the host last February to promote her “Let’s Move” initiative with a routine of mom dance moves.

In her first appearance, Fallon urged the first lady to join with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to mount a White House bid in 2016.

“You know, I have my eye actually on another job,” the first lady said. “And I hear that when Jay Leno retires that The Tonight Show position is going to open and I’m thinking about putting my hat in the ring.”

President Obama appeared in a farewell video on Leno’s last show, joking he would appoint the longtime host the ambassador to Antarctica.

“Jay, you’ve made a whole lot of jokes about me over the years, but do not worry, I’m not upset,” Obama said. “Hope you have a warm coat, funnyman.”

White House press secretary Jay Carney called Leno’s retirement the “end of an era” last week.

“The President wishes him well. We all do,” Carney said.
