CuidadoDeSalud.gov ready to launch

The Obama administration plans to launch the Spanish version of HealthCare.gov over the weekend, according to a report in The Washington Post.

According to the report, the administration is planning a soft-launch of CuidadoDeSalud.gov so Hispanic advocacy groups can report back on the site’s performance. If the site is functioning properly, the administration will commence with efforts to promote it.

{mosads}The Spanish-language version of the ObamaCare website was supposed to go live on Oct. 1 with HealthCare.gov, but was delayed until the end of November. Healthcare officials also missed the second deadline.

The administration had been sending Spanish-speaking consumers to the bilingual ObamaCare hotline as officials scrambled to deal with the myriad technical issues plaguing the ObamaCare roll-out.

Hispanics make up the largest uninsured ethnic group in the country, and their enrollment is critical to the long-term success of the Affordable Care Act.
