Obama tells youths he can’t have iPhone

President Obama on Wednesday said while talking about ObamaCare at a youth summit that he is not allowed to have an iPhone for security reasons.

The president made the remarks while talking about healthcare costs, saying monthly premiums would probably be less than a cable and cellphone bill.

{mosads}“Now, I am not allowed, for security reasons, to have an iPhone,” Obama said to laughter. “I don’t know what your bills are. I have noticed that Sasha and Malia seem to spend a lot of time on it.”

When moving into the White House, Obama was allowed to keep his BlackBerry. However, only 10 people have his email address, according to Reuters. And he still uses an iPad.

Earlier this year, former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden — the source of leaks about secret surveillance programs — said he would be able to hack into anyone’s account if he had the address, including the president, something administration officials have contested.

The leaks have revealed, among other things, that the NSA has spied on as many as 35 world leaders.
