The newest wrinkle in trying to wind down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Investors want a piece of the mortgage giants, The Washington Post reports.
With the housing market bouncing back, investor groups have made offers in recent weeks to either buy a stake in Fannie or Freddie, or take over key parts and run them as private entities.
