Ney’s new book on Abramoff scandal coming out this week
Former Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) will release his new book this week that could shed new revelations about the Jack Abramoff scandal.
Ney served 17 months in jail after pleading guilty to corruption charges that were tied to Abramoff, a former lobbyist who went to prison for 42 months on fraud, tax evasion and bribery charges.
{mosads}The Abramoff saga rocked Washington for years, finishing the political careers of members of Congress and aides and sparking new lobbying and ethics laws.
The former committee chairman’s book is titled, “Sideswiped: Lessons Learned Courtesy of the Hit Men of Capitol Hill.” He will sign complimentary copies of the book at the Monocle restaurant on Wednesday evening. Changing Lives Press and television/radio personality Ellen Ratner are hosting the party.
