Remembering the ’70s with Sen. Klobuchar
The Minnesota Democrat is known to be among the senate’s funnier members, a talent that she brought to the Democratic National Convention here.
{mosads}Beyond recalling her gig at the root beer stand, Klobuchar provided other laughs during the event, which was co-hosted by Ingersoll Rand Co., a company with energy-efficiency-related product lines.
Klobuchar had an energy-related riff on Garrison Keillor’s description of Minnesota’s fictional Lake Wobegon on his “Prairie Home Companion” radio show.
“Our state is a state where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and all the HVAC systems are above average,” she quipped.
