GOP seek to turn ‘doing just fine’ into memorable gaffe using Twitter

But Republicans aren’t likely to forget. The Republican National Committee had already blasted out a video by that time, asking, “How can President Obama fix our economy if he doesn’t understand what’s broken?” The question mimics a campaign video released by Obama in 2008 that sought to delegitimize his GOP opponent by asking: “How can John McCain fix our economy if he doesn’t understand it’s broken?”
House Republicans quickly assembled a press conference of their own to express their disagreement with the president, and members of the GOP on Twitter eagerly blasted out the hashtag.

From the campaign trail, Mitt Romney weighed in: “Is he really that out of touch?”
Obama campaign Press Secretary Ben LaBolt fired back that Romney should not talk about being “out of touch.”
Being called out of touch by a candidate who joked about being unemployed and said he likes to fire people is rich.
