Two-time champ Rep. Fleming bows out of new media challenge

{mosads}House Republicans announced their third annual New Media Challenge last week. The contest offers members a chance to compete against each other to build engagement and gain new followers on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Fleming won the last two contests in a row.

The first week of the GOP New Media Challenge began on Monday. The contest runs head-to-head match-ups in brackets and the first week of eliminations is based on the number of new Twitter followers each member gets. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), whose office oversees the challenge, released the brackets on her Twitter feed along with the news that 96 House Republicans are participating in the challenge this year, up from last year.
