He has positioned himself as a chief critic of former President Trump in the GOP race, showing a willingness to challenge the front-runner when other candidates have not.

Christie has not mentioned climate policy significantly on the campaign trail.

Christie has acknowledged human contributions to climate change for years before many other Republicans.

Christie also declared support for nuclear power to decrease reliance on carbon-emitting sources

Christie has criticized bans on gender-affirming care for transgender youth.

He has said he opposes a federal abortion ban, believing the issue should be left to the states

Additionally, he has called for greater attention and treatment for mental health conditions.

Christie has called for looking at means testing for Social Security.

He has said he is open to keeping Jerome Powell on as chairman of the Federal Reserve.

He has accused Biden administration of excessive spending leading to inflation.

Christie argued that the U.S. can support Ukraine and address domestic issues simultaneously.

He said he considers the Russia-Ukraine war to be a proxy war with China.

And he has argued that former President Trump would be too weak on China policy.
