Cowboys owner snubs Christie’s high five
Call it a high five fail — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s celebratory gesture to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared to fall flat after the team’s win on Sunday.
The Republican governor — a longtime Cowboys fan — sat in the owner’s box with Jones for the NFL wild-card playoff game in Texas against the Detroit Lions.
As the crowd went wild following the Lone Star State team’s 24 – 20, come-from-behind win, a video captured Christie raising his hand, attempting to give Jones a jubilant high five.
But the 72-year-old owner, with a wide grin on his face, turns the other way and hugs his son, Stephen.
However, Christie, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, appears undeterred. He quickly joined in on the family squeeze, embracing both of the Jones men in a bear hug.
