House GOP releases 293-page compromise immigration bill

House GOP leaders have sent to their members a 293-page immigration bill meant to serve as a compromise between conservatives and centrists.

The bill includes language that would allow immigrants covered by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to remain in the country, while advancing President Trump’s initiatives, including a wall on the Mexican border.
