Grassley warns Trump: Focus on hurricane, don’t make same mistake Bush made
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Friday told President Trump to keep his focus on handling Hurricane Harvey, warning him not to repeat former President George W. Bush’s mistakes during Hurricane Katrina.
“@realDonaldTrump #hurricane keep on top of hurricane Harvey dont mke same mistake Pres Bush made w Katrina,” Grassley tweeted.

{mosads}Hurricane Harvey, which is expected to hit Texas on Friday or Saturday, could bring up to 35 inches of rain and cause coastal flooding of up to ten feet. While still a Category 2, Harvey will likely strengthen to Category 3 hurricane by the time it hits landfill, the first such storm to hit the United States since 2005.
Bush came under fire for his handling of Hurricane Katrina during his presidency. Bush had been on vacation during the disaster, and local officials were not prepared for the damage that ravaged the Louisiana coast. The slow response played a major role in Bush’s approval ratings falling significantly during his second term.
Trump took to Twitter on Friday morning to share a number of thoughts, but none related to the impending hurricane.
He complained about Democrats blocking legislation, bragged that few administrations have done as much as his, criticized the “fake news” coverage of his chief of staff John Kelly and attacked Republican Sen. Bob Corker (Tenn.).
If Senate Republicans don’t get rid of the Filibuster Rule and go to a 51% majority, few bills will be passed. 8 Dems control the Senate!

Few, if any, Administrations have done more in just 7 months than the Trump A. Bills passed, regulations killed, border, military, ISIS, SC!

General John Kelly is doing a fantastic job as Chief of Staff. There is tremendous spirit and talent in the W.H. Don’t believe the Fake News

Strange statement by Bob Corker considering that he is constantly asking me whether or not he should run again in ’18. Tennessee not happy!
