April Ryan: Omarosa fired by Kelly, escorted out of White House

White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman may have been escorted out of the White House shouting profanities after being told of her firing by chief of staff John Kelly, according to a report by American Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan on Wednesday.

“Omarosa did not resign. She was even escorted out of [t]he building and off campus,” Ryan reported, citing multiple sources.

“She was very upset and said she wanted to speak to the president. According to sources, Gen. Kelly said the president was already informed and he signed off,” Ryan said in her report.

“Sources say General Kelly did the firing and Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump,” Ryan also tweeted. “The word is General Kelly had it and got rid of her.”

Ryan and Manigault Newman are former friends but have a history of disputes while working at President Trump’s White House.

{mosads}Ryan’s tweets come hours after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters that Manigault Newman tendered her resignation, and that her last day at the White House would be next month. Ryan noted that the White House is disputing reports that Manigault Newman was escorted out of the building by security.

“Okay the White House still contends Omarosa signed a resignation letter,” Ryan tweeted. “But Gen Kelly Kicked her out [with] high drama with the Minister offering vulgarities and curse words as she was escorted out of the building and off campus.”

Reports differ regarding Manigault Newman’s decision to leave. The New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor cited a White House source that disputed claims that Manigault Newman was escorted out.

“I just talked to another source in the White House who said Omarosa will be on staff until January 20 and that she is finishing up her work with HBCUs before her official departure. That person disputes that she was escorted out,” Alcindor tweeted.

Ryan durning an appearance on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” reported that the fight began at one of two Christmas parties at the White House Tuesday night.

According to Ryan, “everything blew up” when Kelly tried to discuss Newman’s walk-in privileges and access to Trump.

Ryan reported Newman saying that “all hell will break loose” should she lose walk-in access to Trump.

“And he [Kelly] said okay ‘all hell is going to break loose’ and that’s where it all started,” Ryan said.

“We’ll see if she comes back,” Ryan said of Newman returning to the White House, noting the Secret Service said it deactivated her pass.

CBS News also reported that Newman was fired, noting she attempted to enter the White House residence and subsequently set off the alarms. The former “Apprentice” start also attempted to plead her case to keep her job to Trump’s daughter and advisor, Ivanka Trump.

Manigault Newman previously served at the director of African-American outreach for Trump’s presidential campaign and currently serves as the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, where she has served since January.

Previously, Manigault Newman was a reality TV star and contestant on season 1 of “The Apprentice,” the NBC reality show formerly hosted by Trump. Because of her celebrity status, she is often referred to only by her first name, Omarosa.
