Trump visits his Virginia golf course
President Trump made an unscheduled stop at his golf club in Virginia Saturday morning ahead of his appearance at a Republican fundraiser Saturday night.
Trump left the White House shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday morning wearing a red USA cap, a white polo shirt and khakis, according to pool reports. Trump’s motorcade arrived at Trump National Golf Club just before 10 a.m.
{mosads}This is Trump’s first visit to his Virginia golf club since late July and his 69th day spent at one of his golf properties since taking office, according to a NBC News tracker.
Trump is set to headline a fundraising dinner at the home of two prominent Republican supporters in Greensboro, N.C., on Saturday night. Tickets for the event range from $2,700 to $100,000, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
Before heading to his golf club Saturday morning, Trump took to Twitter to slam late night comedians for their “anti-Trump” jokes and suggested that he and other Republicans be given “equal time” in response.
He also tweeted about preparations for the storm headed for the U.S. Gulf Coast.
Our great team at @FEMA is prepared for #HurricaneNate. Everyone in LA, MS, AL, and FL please listen to your local authorities & be safe!
