Trump blasts McConnell over ObamaCare
President Trump prodded Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday in a new tweet for failing to replace ObamaCare in a message that comes just days after the two sides publicly denied mounting reports of a growing rift.
“The only problem I have with Mitch McConnell is that, after hearing Repeal & Replace for 7 years, he failed! That should NEVER have happened!” Trump tweeted Thursday morning.

Trump also took another shot at McConnell, as well as House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), in an earlier tweet where he blamed the two leaders for the “mess” surrounding the debt ceiling negotiations.
The latest salvo pours more gasoline on the burgeoning feud between Trump and the man responsible for shepherding his agenda through Congress.
Earlier this month, Trump struck back at McConnell for his public criticisms about the president’s “excessive expectations,” blasting him on Twitter for days. Since then, the two have found themselves at odds on Trump’s comments related to the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., and over Trump’s repeated attacks against the media.
The choppy relationship met its climax this week in a New York Times story that reported McConnell is concerned about whether Trump can move past the whirlwind of controversies and get his presidency back on track.
Both sides responded with statements denying the report and claiming a united front.
