Trump renews attack on ‘crazy’ and ‘dumb as a rock’ MSNBC hosts

President Trump returned to attacking the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in a tweet on Saturday, calling them “crazy” and “dumb as a rock.”

“Crazy Joe Scarborough and dumb as a rock Mika are not bad people, but their low rated show is dominated by their NBC bosses,” Trump tweeted. “Too bad!”

Trump’s tweet harkened to attacks previously launched on the political morning show hosts before his crude tweets this week that were panned by members of both parties.

The president sparked bipartisan uproar on Thursday when he went after the MSNBC hosts in tweets that claimed Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” when he saw her on New Year’s Eve at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

The two hosts wrote in a Washington Post op-ed Friday that Trump has an “unhealthy obsession” with “Morning Joe” and revealed that White House officials told them a negative story would be run in the National Enquirer if they didn’t apologize to Trump for negative coverage of him.

It was reported Friday that White House senior adviser and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner was the official that told Scarborough and Brzezinski about the story.

Trump’s attacks sparked broad outcry into Friday, drawing condemnation from both Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill, as well as from a Fox News anchor, who said “I don’t care who you are, you don’t stoop to that level.”
