Trump reportedly annoyed by Time cover with Bannon
President Trump is reportedly “annoyed” by Time magazine’s February cover story that included a photo of White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon.
According to a Saturday report in The New York Times, Trump is still bothered by the cover.
“That doesn’t just happen,” Trump reportedly told a visitor this month, a phrase he supposedly frequently uses to express anger about subordinates who put their interests ahead of his own, according to the Times.
The Time magazine story — which the magazine titled “Is Steve Bannon the Second Most Powerful Man in the World?” — focused on Bannon’s influence inside the West Wing.

{mosads}Recent reports have portrayed feuding between Bannon and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law who serves as one of his senior advisers. “Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will,” Trump told the New York Post this week.
The Saturday article in the Times details palace intrigue surrounding Trump’s administration. It references the “marginalization” of Bannon inside the White House, while saying that Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump “have emerged as President Trump’s most important advisers, at least for now.”
Bannon was recently removed from the National Security Council’s principals committee, which he gained access to during a January reshuffling. The White House maintained that Bannon’s removal from the committee was not a demotion.
